Client: Inkwell Software

Inkwell had a web site, but needed a product demo. Inkwell Software produces, sells and supports digital imaging software for film recorders. Using Film Magic Pro, Macintosh users can drag-and-drop graphic files to create film output, which in turn is used by printers and production houses for high-quality printing. The target audience for Inkwell includes printers and graphic arts professionals. The project had to be clear, informative, and attractive.
        The demo project was built using Macromedia Director, Photoshop and SoundEdit Pro. The resulting "movie" files were rendered using Director for Mac, so that Inkwell could maintain the demo. (Inkwell is a Mac-only software house. In addition to Windows and legacy systems, Couch Slug enthusiastically supports the Macintosh environment.)
        The final product included graphics, animation, simulations, narration, sound effects and bumper music. The demo was delivered on CD initially. The CD version included "windoid" or remote control, allowing users to move quickly to a section of interest. In later versions, Couch Slug was called back to update the demo and converted it to a Shockwave demo. The shockwave version is available on the web at http://www.inkwell.com.
